The Rowans Day Nursery – The Menu

 

A warm, well-balanced and healthy lunch is served from the school kitchen.

The menu is on a two-weekly basis and is displayed in the nursery a week in advance for parents/carers to see.

There is provision to cater for children with other dietary needs.

 

          The daily menu in the Rowans nursery is based on the Government Standards set out for school meals. This means that the menu is planned to give your child the best start in life and ensure the diet that they receive at nursery is well balanced and varied. The menu will provide four meals a day which will ensure your child’s diet is well balanced:

Children need the right balance of food and nutrients to develop and grow. For many children, the Rowans Day Nursery will provide them with their main meals of the day. It is important that the nursery’s menu contains sufficient energy and micronutrients to promote good nutritional health in all children and to protect those who are nutritionally vulnerable, such as the developing child.
