Afternoon Session

After lunch the children are encouraged to have a nap or rest in a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere, accompanied by an adult gently singing lullabies, or quietly entertained for those who are not feeling that sleepy!

After their rest time, the children have another opportunity for free play and to take part in another activity. We all then tidy up together, before the children have another opportunity to enjoy the garden. By giving each child a chance to revisit activities from earlier in the day it engenders a sense of security through routine and gives them a chance to finish off any particular activity they have really enjoyed! After this we sit down together for a quiet story before tea.

Tea Time

Tea is a light nutritious meal, prepared within the nursery. After tea the children and staff come together for singing favourite songs, rhymes and games, giving the children a relaxing, settling time in readiness for going home.
