Welcome back to the Autumn term

Dear Parents and friends,

Our Autumn term has begun and we’re off to a flying start with lots of hustle and bustle and fabulous energy from teachers and students alike! Here are a few community notices to kick start the term:

A big thank you to Ana Smith for tirelessly collating the newsletter all last year and producing such a great reflection of our school. Ana is standing down, this term, and therefore we need a new person to take on the task, if anyone is interested, please see me; Ron Waddell for further details.

We are delighted to welcome Sally Larkin back to the Michael House Early Years setting – Sally is now our new Chestnuts Kindergarten teacher following on from Chris Bosman who sadly left in July. We wish them both well in their new posts.

We would dearly love to get a Fundraising Group set up within the school, to arrange events and opportunities to raise money for the school. If this is something that interests you and you have some time time and thought to give to this, please contact me; Ron Waddell and an initial meeting will be arranged for all interested parties to get together and create a schedule.

The school has had a generous donation of computers for our Upper School computer suite; is there a parent or friend of Michael House out there, with expertise, who can install them correctly for us, so that we can use them asap? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, a reminder that our school hall and kitchen is available to hire. Please bear this in mind if you need a venue. Once again, please see me if you would  like more information.

With many thanks for all your continued support to our school and with best best wishes during this Autumntide.

Ron Waddell

School Manager.
