Community work morning success

A big thank you to those dedicated people who turned out on a very rainy Sunday morning and achieved the following tasks:

We made the gardens presentable ready for when the sun came out in time for the Open Day.

We cleaned out a whole section of guttering and in the process managed to recover 4 tennis balls!

We spruced up the inside of the greenhouse and put in tomatoes, cucumbers and cape gooseberries.

We rescued the Kindergarten owl from the tangle of brambles and other foliage which had surrounded it.

One particularly dedicated member of the team bravely took on the job of clearing drains around the school.

We excavated the soil from behind the pond and appreciated help from the youngest member of the team who did sterling work with this and even brought his own tools. So a special thank you to you, Freddie!

A good time was had by all, especially the children who had a wonderful time racing around the playground on their bikes.

The next work day will be on 3rd July between 9:30 and 12:30 before the next Open Day. Come for an hour or whatever time you can spare.
