Thank you to Lily, Mei-An, Aiden, Andrew, Joshua and MacKenzie whose attitude and behaviour throughout the three days were exemplary and did the school proud.
As a fairly new parent to the school (18 months) I wasn’t quite sure what I had agreed to when Sian Parish talked me into accompanying the class to the Olympics.
However, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges I was faced with and found it a very reward- ing experience. Luckily the class were oblivious to the behind the scenes shenanigans! Each day the class were on the field ready to start at 8am, although on the first day some of them were eagerly warming up at 4.30am! Their stamina and enthusiasm continued over the coming days and as it came to a close on the Saturday, they received well-deserved medals for the qualities they demonstrated throughout the three days. Nevertheless, I do think Mr Ashford also deserved a medal for his patience which he maintained throughout the trip.
We were so lucky with the weather and I en- joyed getting to know the class as well as the Chinese students, who were very helpful. One of the many highlights of the trip was rolling down the hill in sleeping bags and wonder if you can spot the infamous Mr Cau in the photograph above!!! Well done Class 5 as you were a fantastic group and I hope you all had as much fun as me.
