80th Anniversary Plans and Progress
Ideas have been gathered and plans are being made for our school’s 80th Anniversary. There are still some ideas to be added to the children’s ideas on the website (please go and look).
Class 7 have been busy sewing a beautiful wall hanging celebrating the 80th anniversary which will be unveiled and displayed at the school soon. Mrs Burns is gathering recipes for a Michael House Cook Book so please send her any recipes you associate with the school. Mr Stephenson is planning a weekend of Music in late June. The Art and Craft team are preparing for a series of workshops in the autumn term. We’re thinking hard about how we can go back in time to 1934 and what we could have been doing if we were there; something we’re doing in spring term.
For the actual anniversary day we’re planning to have a big party, so please keep Saturday the 13th of September free in your diaries.
What can you do?
If you’re a parent, please write either a note or an email to me to say why you send your child to Michael House School- hopefully we’ll end up with 80 reasons on the website (names are not necessary).
If you’re an ex-pupil please download the questionnaire from the alumni section of the school website and email it to Rosemary (Rosemaryflp@hotmail.co.uk).
Look at the ideas on the website (or think up your own) and if you’d like to try to organise or help with organising anything, let Imogen Beeston, Ann Featherstone or Sigrid Black know about it.
Looking forward to next year! Sigrid Black (firstname.lastname@example.org)
