This month the Daffodil season begins. The 1st of March was St David’s day. People relate this yellow trumpet like flower to the month of March. The Latin name for this flower is Narcissus Cyclamineus (try saying that very late at night!) Daffodils originate from Spain and Portugal. They signify the beginning of spring (though perhaps a rather ‘delayed’ spring). In any case, let’s say goodbye to winter and hello to spring.
Daffodils sold by classes 7 & 8 for £2.00 a pot. Funds go to the school and to buying appliances for the garden, so the classes can continue to enjoy their gardening lessons.
Many thanks! Classes 7 and 8
