Gloucester Theatre Company – “The Trial of the Soul”

Gloucester Theatre Company presents Rudolf Steiner’s second Mystery drama in a new version by Alexander Gifford with original music by Penelope Wildgoose. Directed by Adrian Locher and Alexander Gifford and performed by members of the Stroud Mystery Drama Group. Using a new translation by Alexander Gifford and original music by Penelope Wildgoose, with a cast of 25, this production promises to give fresh insights into this unique drama about karma and reincarnation. Starting with the spiritual crises of a group of present-day friends, we travel back with them in time to discover the origins of their struggles in their previous lives around a Knights Templar castle in medieval times. And then we see how they attempt to integrate this insight into their modern lives and how certain spiritual beings seek to help or hinder them in this. Running time: 4 hours including two intervals
